XVIIIth International Congress of the Spanish Society of Italianists

The Writers and Writings Research Group (Hum 753) will organise the XVIII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE SPANISH SOCIETY OF ITALIANISTS entitled ItaliaSÍ, ItaliaNO: A culture for the world, which will take place at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Seville on 25, 26 and 27 November.

The Spanish Society of Italianists - S. E. I, founded in 1974, is an association of teachers and specialists in Italian studies. It is composed of more than one hundred members, most of whom are teachers and researchers of Italian language, literature and culture who belong to almost all Spanish universities, language schools, Spanish language schools and secondary schools.

The SEI is concerned with facilitating professional relations and the exchange of experiences in teaching and scientific results and constitutes a centre of reference for many events related to the professional sphere and philological studies.

Since 1982, International Congresses have been organised every two years with publication of the Proceedings. The Journal of the Society is the RSEI, the journal of the Spanish Society of Italianists, which has been published since 2000.
